Meet Dr. Jake Dorfman

Dr. Jake Dorfman founded Dorfman Orthodontic Group in 2020 with the simple idea that exceptional orthodontic care should be easy, affordable and fun for all ages. He also wanted to make charity and giving back to the local community a pillar of his practice - which helped form our mission to "Spread Happiness with every smile" and is the reason we donate a portion to charity with each patient that starts braces or Invisalign treatment.

Dr. Dorfman grew up in nearby Richboro, PA and is proud to come home and create beautiful smiles in Bucks County and the greater Philadelphia area. Dr. Jake graduated from Council Rock South High School where he was a member of the ice hockey and basketball teams. Following high school, Dr. Jake attended Penn State University where he graduated with honors and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biobehavioral Health.

After completing a one-year dental internship in New York City, he went on to attend Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. There, he earned his DMD degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was also inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

After dental school, Dr. Jake continued at Temple University for his orthodontic specialty training where he also received a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology for his research on dental biomaterials. During his first year as an orthodontist, Dr. Dorfman earned his Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics - an achievement held by only about half of orthodontists and a testament to the highest quality care and lifelong education. 

Personally, he and his wife Claire are proud parents to two daughters. When Dr. Jake is not straightening teeth, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, being anywhere with a book in his hand, golfing with friends and colleagues. and cheering on all of the Philly sports teams!
